Happy Monday! I'm so excited to share with you that my friend Jen's wedding is up on Style Me Pretty today! Not only is Jen a great friend, she has fabulous taste! When we set out to start styling her wedding and flowers, she knew she wanted grey & white and elegant.
Below is a picture of her bouquet. One of my favorites..ever! I was so excited that in October I was able to get my hands on some white anemones and ranunculas. This wedding was the first time I did a ribbon backdrop. It was actually really fun and alot easier than I thought. I found the dining table pictured below and a dresser (pictured in the Style Me Pretty gallery) on Craigslist and painted them gray. I also did the custom banners (a few throughout). There were so many fun DIY projects in this wedding!
I got to work with some awesome vendors, especially Joyful Weddings & Events, Lane Dittoe Photography, Sweet & Saucy Shop, and Modern 8 Films. Check out all my previous posts from this awesome wedding here, here, and here!
If you are interested in flowers for your upcoming wedding or event, make sure to check out my website over at Daisies Of Our Lives or shoot me an email at kelsey@daisiesofourlives.com!

Wedding Cake Book
Hi all! I have some fun and exciting news to share. Awhile back, the ladies over at CAKE let me know that some of their cakes were going to be published in a book...the author contacted me for my information and then a lot of time went by with no word, and I honestly forgot about it! But just this week we learned that the book was just published!
The cake that I had at my baby shower for Drew is featured in the book! I worked with Kimberly on the design of the cake and I loved the way it turned out! Click here to see the post from my baby shower.
I haven't ordered my copy yet, but I can't wait to see it! P.S. if you're in San Diego, the ladies at CAKE are fabulous...weddings, birthday, celebrations...and they even have a bakery now! I always get the banana truffle cake, but they are all amazing!

Casey & Jen's Video Sneak Peek
Hi all! Every once in awhile I get the honor to be both a guest and do the flowers for a wedding. My good friend Jen was married to Casey back in October. I was intimately involved in all the styling of this wedding, along with the fab Bre from Joyful Weddings & Events, and the beautiful bride herself.
It was an amazing wedding and I was so blessed to be a part of it. I have to say, this group of vendors was THE BEST! One vendor in particular was Modern 8 Films. Be sure to check out their blog post to watch a short video of the wedding day. It will be well worth your 16 minutes. I welled up all over again seeing my dear friends exchange vows and getting to hear Casey's amazing speech for the 2nd time.

All I can say is I wish I had known about these guys when I got married....dang! What a wonderful keepsake. Check out a few more pictures and a funny story about these two here and here! Let me know what you think of the video!

Newport Beach Wedding
Back in August, I had the opportunity to do Amanda & Stefan's wedding in Newport Beach. What a fun wedding to be a part of! There were so many lovely details that the bride put together with the help of the fabulous Bre from Joyful Weddings & Events.
These beautiful pictures are brought to you by Brynn Alyson Photography. Check her work out here. Don't miss that amazing cake by Sweet & Saucy Shop. Enjoy the pictures!

Congrats Amanda & Stefan! It was a pleasure to be a part of your wonderful day!

Guest Interview: Morgan from Pepper Design Blog
Happy Monday! Today I am super excited to share with you a new series of blog posts. I will be interviewing some of my favorite bloggers and industry friends about their weddings. Don't you just love to peak in and see other people's weddings? I know I do.
Today, we're talking with Morgan Spenla from Pepper Design Blog. Through her blog, Morgan shares with her readers all the happenings of renovating her home and all the fun projects that go along with it. I love popping over to her blog tos ee what she's up to. Visit her blog and say hello! Okay, here we go....
Tell us about your wedding...when was it? 2007
Location? Vineyard/hills of Santa Cruz (with a spectacular view of the ocean!)

What was your color scheme? I guess it would best be described as all-white with neutral accents here and there (it was outdoors so there was plenty of green, tan and brown to play off of!) - the bridesmaids wore a shade of burgundy redWhat were some design elements or creative touches you put in your wedding? Nearly every element had some form of handmade in it - from the invitations to the flowers to the centerpieces to individual wine tags! I even made my own cake.

If you were to get married again tomorrow, what would be your color scheme and what would your bouquet look like? I think that I would still choose an all-white wedding, though I might pick a more modern accent such as plum instead of red. Oh how neat to relive that day!
What is your favorite flower? Sooo difficult. Peonies when they're in season, they're such a treat in California!
