Married: in 2006 to my wonderful husband Jason
Kids: Two - my son Micah and my daughter Drew
Pets: 3 cats – Trina, Maggie, and Pemberley
Education: BA in Business Administration and have worked in the Human Resources field for 10+ years
Flowers: favorite flowers are anemones, feverfew and chocolate cosmos
Food: Thai food…I could eat it every day
Shopping: Anthropologie. That’s it. It has everything I need.
Movies: Pride & Prejudice (Colin Firth version of course), Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Sliding Doors, Possession, Steel Magnolias, SATC
TV: Modern Family, SYTYCD, Project Runway, Million Dollar Decorators, Rachel Zoe Project, Damages, House Hunters International, and Top Chef are just some of the shows that are regularly in my DVR
If you haven’t guessed it yet, I am a lover of Jane Austen and good British movies. My daughter’s middle name (Elizabeth) is in honor of Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice. In my free time I like to search Craigslist looking for a great new project, painting, visiting the flower market with my kids, and baking. That is a little bit about me. Blog: Daisy Dreaming is a compilation of many of my life’s passions –flowers & weddings, decorating, party styling, DIY projects, and my family. Daisy Dreaming comes from all the time I spend day dreaming about projects and all the things I’d like to do in my life. Sometimes I can just spend hours online taking inspiration from all the awesome bloggers and online magazines! My DIY Board on Pinterest grows every day! I’m hoping to contribute in a tiny way to all the creativity out there!
Etsy: In 2011 I launched our Etsy shop, which includes miniature decorative wire beds and posters. When my daughter’s nursery was seen on sites like Ohdeedoh, Made by Girl, Project Nursery, Cheap Chic Nursery, I began to get inquiries about where to get the mini bed. I quickly worked to get production going and I’m so happy with our lovely little beds. We also have added quirky little prints for your home. Please be sure to stop by our shop and check it out. Daisies Of Our Lives: I began DOOL in 1997 after working for a florist one summer. We have been featured in magazines like The Knot, Ceremony, and Exquisite Weddings Magazine. There are amazing people in this industry and I take so much inspiration from them. I absolutely love being an entrepreneur and creative at the same time.
